Christos Koukis is an accomplished architect with international experience spanning China, Italy, Greece, and the UK. As the Design & Architecture Lead at The Place Bureau, he specializes in shaping dynamic and future-ready environments through research-driven design.

With a global perspective, Christos draws inspiration from cultural trends and urban transformations to design spaces that inspire and connect people. His expertise spans civic and infrastructure projects, residential and mixed-use developments, and commercial and resort spaces.

At The Place Bureau, a research, strategy, and design studio, Christos plays a key role in redefining the future of places worldwide. His career includes notable tenures at Zaha Hadid Architects and FUKSAS, where he contributed to groundbreaking architectural projects that push creative boundaries.

Christos holds a Master’s degree in Urban Strategies from the University for Applied Arts in Vienna and a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Patras in Greece. In addition to his professional practice, he has contributed to architectural education through design workshops at institutions such as the AA and Sci-Arc Visiting Schools in Shanghai.
