Sushmita Shekar is an Urban Design Professional at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and a graduate from Columbia University, New York. With a background of Architecture and Visual Arts her interest lies in innovating and developing resilient tools for planning, to empower communities and ecosystems to thrive in a world of crisis. Her work strongly aligns with sustainable planning, multi stakeholder engagement and strategizing Social Capital in cities. She was nominated as Future 100 Designers in US and Canada region by Metropolis magazine.
